"It is important to act quickly. To seize the day! And the moment.
Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today,
for tomorrow you could be dead."
I have a brown, spiral, reporter style notebook, no bigger than your hand.
That book is what this is all about.
In it I write everything. Notes, thoughts, epiphanies; records of what I do, what I want, what I'm scared of.
The deepest, the darkest, feelings and fears. Be it angry and irritated or calm and content or terrified and lonely.
But it is time these things weren't so private. It is time I learnt to express myself, and not steal away between the pages of notebooks when inner turmoil grips me.
It is time this life was shouted and the joys openly rejoiced and the fears openly feared.
I want to express my life, not hide it.
And if you happen to take the time to record your thoughts then I'll reply, and see if I can get a sense, perhaps just for a moment, of what it is like to be you too.
This is The Brown Notebook. Enjoy.
